FINANCE / ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Auburn, Maine

LAPOINT PACKAGING at PackGen is a booming new division of the globally respected PackGen - with the energy and excitement of a start-up, but backed by over 3 decades of leadership in the bulk container industry. We are currently seeking a qualified, high-performing individual to manage the A/P, A/R and financial functions of our growing and diversifying company.

The Finance/Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and deliverable as needed in real-time, daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. The F/A Manager is also expected to provide accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, and to prepare reports that will guide financial planning and investments.

Key Responsibilities

* Standard A/R and A/P functions

* Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

* Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports

* Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses

* Report the company’s finances to management and offer suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts

* Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs

* Inspect account books and accounting systems for accuracy

* Prepare and submit tax documents, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements*

* Prepare reports with necessary tax information for 3rd party accounting firm

* Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts

* Work with production to make appropriate inventory adjustments

Requirements

* Minimum 4-year Associate Finance Degree or equivalent

* Manufacturing experience required

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Positive attitude and desire to bring your A-game every day

* Proven ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Above-average organizational skills with acute attention to detail

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

* Proficiency in ERP

* Familiarity with customer e-procurement platforms such as Coupa and SAP Ariba

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
