Job Summary

The Student Employment Office (SEO) is committed to assisting students in identifying meaningful on-campus work as well as supporting managers in hiring student employees. This role will have a focus on systems, utilizing Workday to maintain accurate records, and will also provide comprehensive support to the SEO.

This is a part-time (not eligible for benefits) on-campus position, working approximately 12-18 hours per week.

  • Maintain and update student employment records in Workday.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in Workday regarding job info, student employee data and timecards.
  • Monitor and maintain job postings – assist end users with all processes related to Workday Recruiting.
  • Provide Workday support and guidance to managers for posting jobs and hiring students, as well as supporting students applying for jobs.
  • Run reports and audit data on a regular basis.
  • Meet with students to complete employment forms and follow up on incomplete onboarding.
  • Field inquiries from students, supervisors, parents and the community, in-person, over the phone and via email.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of events and trainings.


The hourly range for this position is expected to be $25.77 per hour.

Education/Skills Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED, required.


Skills:

  • Advanced experience working with computer database systems, word processing and spreadsheet software. Strong preference to applicants with Workday experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills – oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience coordinating projects that require close attention to detail and strict deadlines.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships and a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with multiple interruptions.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • An interest in working with students, staff and faculty.


Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

A minimum of 2 years’ professional work experience in an administrative support role within an office or campus environment. Workday experience is strongly preferred.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Approximately 12-18 hours/week, 4-5 days each week. Flexibility with schedule, however, must be between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Additional hours may be required at the start of each semester. This is an in-person position.
