Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Tech to join our team at the Central Maine Heart & Vascular Institute team!
This is a Full Time, benefits eligible position
Position Summary:
Has responsibility for supporting clinic operations at the direction of the Clinic Administrator. This role will assist with the clerical / administrative tasks for the clinic and performs a variety of duties involving departmental workload.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma Required
- Understanding of medical terminology Required
- MA, CNA, CRNA, EMT or Other entry level medical certification Preferred
- 2+ years in a Medical Office Preferred
- Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing preferred
Essential Duties:
- Transfer Work queue Monitor requests into Cerner (manual print/create note/upload process)
- Register Zio Monitors, Place Zio Monitors, assign for reading and Track, Fax/ensure results are sent to ordering provider when not a cardiology provider (44% of all studies)
- Call and schedule patients with external monitor orders
- Initiate paperwork for Nurses for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Surgical Clearance, Return to work, Disability, etc.
- Phlebotomy
- Assist with room turnover as needed
- Assist with medication prior Authorization paperwork
- Serves as a resource to others.
- Complete reports and statistics as requested by the System Director.
- Maintains confidentiality and HR protocol for accessing confidential information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
