Patient Financial Counselor-Lewiston

Hours are 8a-430p. Can work up to 1-3 days remote once fully trained up (6 months).

What You'll Do:

  • Patient Financial Counselor will play a critical role in improving front-end insurance data capture as well as overall patient satisfaction from a revenue cycle management perspective.
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of MIS System used by department.
  • Telephone courtesy/ ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Organize, file and maintain accurate records.
  • Function well in deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently.

What You Will Bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of healthcare operations required.
  • Two to three years of customer service experience required.
  • Home Health and Hospice experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent customer services skills.
  • Excellent ability to de-escalate and triage difficult and complex patient situations.
  • Capable of functioning under stressful circumstances.
  • Must possess strong, demonstrated computer skills with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Working understanding of health insurance.
