We are excited to be partnering with The Dingley Press in their search for a Vice President of Finance. Dingley has been bringing products to life on paper since 1928. They also offer an array of digital business solutions to reinforce a company’s marketing efforts.
Based on-site in Lisbon, Maine, this VP of Finance role is open due to a future retirement.
The Vice President of Finance oversees and manages the finances of the company, including accounting, payroll, operations information, and market trends. In addition, the VP of Finance advises the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on financial decisions for the business. The VP of Finance is responsible for preparing current financial reports, developing projections about the future financial health of the company, and providing informed advice to the leadership team on how to increase profits and reduce financial risk. The VP of Finance is a member of the leadership team.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO/President for strategic planning purposes.
Oversee the finance department, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and inventory.
Develop and secure financial relationships with banks and other sources.
Lead and manage the budgeting process.
Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly reports in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal and external reporting/compliance requirements.
Management insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance.
New customer credit checks and collections.
Ensure the company complies with industry-specific tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
5+ years of management experience.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Previous auditing experience and strong familiarity with GAAP accounting.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with the above experience along with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, good critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills.
