Charles M Sumner Learning Campus is located in beautiful Sullivan, Maine. Our amazing brand new campus is located approximately 15 minutes east of Ellsworth, the county seat of Hancock County, and 40 miles east from Bangor. In addition, we are just a short drive to Bar Harbor and the beautiful Acadia National Park. Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus houses both Sumner Middle School and Sumner Memorial High School. Our total population is approximately 480 students in grades 6 through 12.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Industrial Arts Teacher to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in industrial arts, including woodworking, metalworking, automotive technology, and other related disciplines. The Industrial Arts Teacher will be responsible for help to develop and then delivering engaging curriculum, fostering hands-on learning experiences, and providing mentorship to students interested in pursuing careers in skilled trades or engineering fields.In addition, the candidate will be a strong team member, be flexible, have strong instructional and class management skills.
The successful candidate will hold or be willing to work toward certification from the Maine Department of Education. In addition, they must hold a current MDOE Criminal History Records Check. Pay is based upon experience and level of education.
