The Human Resource Consultant will provide client companies with consultation and advice on matters typically assigned to the Human Resource function. This position provides tactical fundamental Human Resource support to the client's top management; the consultant will deal with organizational issues including employee relations, employment law, policies and procedures, sexual harassment, discrimination, and matters of compliance. Client support will consist of email and technical telephone counsel.

We act as an advisor to our clients, so some of our clients' needs may not be something we can handle; knowing and offering the correct contact or referral is often just as helpful.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Paper Trails management team in developing an HR program that benefits different levels of client needs.
- Investigate and respond to all client inquiries regarding basic Human Resource concerns in a timely manner and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Perform human resources evaluations and develop and implement stated recommendations based upon best practices, legal requirements and compliance directives.
- Develop human resources plans, policies and resources for clients as requested.
- Prepare HR documentation for clients, including corrective actions, job descriptions, leave of absence letters, offer letters, etc.
- Advising clients on legal ramifications of federal and state laws, court precedent and rulings.
- Coach and train clients and their management teams on employment law topics and best practices
- Provide business and people management guidance to clients.
- Document and maintain HR records and metrics to provide feedback to clients.
- Annual HR review and audit with clients to ensure overall compliance.
- Encouraging use of isolved HR related features for all clients.
- Directing clients to the appropriate tools and resources on HR Support Center.
- Serving as a sounding board in validating the client's HR-related decisions.
- Interact with centers of influence and alternate client advisors (benefits, investments, attorneys, insurance advisors, etc) to ensure client needs are met.
- Manage stated financial and performance goals of the HR Consulting division.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development or human resources, or equivalent business experience.
- PHR, SHRM or equivalent certification required.
- Strong HR generalist background with at least 3 plus years of broad-based professional experience.
- Must possess consulting skills that will effectively address key issues among various small & mid-sized business clients.
- Must be able to get to the point with clients, resolve issues and give advice in a brief concise manner.
- Possess basic knowledge of accounting, payroll, and banking.
- Ability to work with technological tools and equipment and to adapt to changes in technology.
- Articulate in communicating with business owners and managers over the phone, by email, and physical contact.
- Regional travel required. Must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, auto insurance coverage, and a clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary dependent upon experience.
- Remote work flexibility based upon business needs.
- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:00pm / Friday 8:30-noon / additional hours may be required at quarter and year-end.
- Annual bonuses and profit sharing based on company performance.
