Description Job Title: High School Educational Technicians for SLS and ALS programs

Description: The following is a general list of the job responsibilities but may vary depending on school and programming:
  • Supports direct academic and behavioral instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
  • Perform non-instructional, non-evaluative functions
    • Help students master equipment/instructional materials assigned by the teacher
  • Assist in the preparation of instructional materials
    • Copying, typing, filing, cutting, laminating, bulletin board preparation, etc.
  • Provide classroom management functions
    • Assist with playground/recess, time-out, lunch and bus duties as requested
    • Assist with supervision of students during emergency / fire drills, assemblies and field trips
    • Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary
  • Supervise small groups of students in community based programs
  • Work cooperatively and positively with coworkers and supervisors
  • Participate in in-service training programs as assigned
  • Perform Personal Care duties (i.e. feeding, lifting, toileting, etc) as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising special education teacher, principal, or Director of Special Services.
Pay Range: Dependent on experience- $21.31 to $27.96
Qualifications: Must hold current Educational Technician III certification and fingerprinting. In addition, must be fully trained or be able to be fully trained in Safety Care. School experience preferred.
