The University of Maine seeks a Research Analyst. The Research Analyst collaborates with the three other full-time IR staff members to provide institutional data and analysis to administrators, faculty, and other stakeholders. The Research Analyst's primary responsibility is to assist with database management, data analysis, and the preparation of internal reports from existing IR databases. The Research Analyst also will assist with any other on-going projects of the office as needed.

The successful candidate will have the education associated with a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, educational research, business administration, public policy) and at least two years of related professional experience; experience with complex databases, statistical analysis and the graphic display of data; experience with a statistical software package (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R); considerable knowledge of applied statistical analyses and research methodologies; excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to accuracy; strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated tact, good judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information and in representing the office; and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tight deadlines. Experience with Tableau, Power B1, or a similar data visualization tool and experience using WordPress for website development and maintenance is preferred.
