Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children? KidsPeace is looking to add a Special Education Teacher to our Graham Lake School in Ellsworth!
The KidsPeace Graham Lake School is a special purpose private school serving children pre-k through high school with developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. This is an intensive and collaborative program that operates year-round. Our students receive individualized educational and behavioral services provided by a team of clinical and educational professionals and providers.
KidsPeace is looking for a professional who is dedicated, compassionate, and creative to join our team. Such professionals will find a position that offers experience with best practices, a chance to make a difference, and an opportunity to have fun. KidsPeace will provide the initial and ongoing training necessary to become an effective Special Education Teacher and provide on-going opportunities for professional development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience working with children with developmental and/or emotional disabilities
Behavior intervention and management skills
Successful instructional strategies and teaching skills, for both 1:1 and small group instruction
Supervision of support staff
282 or 286 DOE certification or documentation from the DOE that candidate is certified in K-8, will also accept K-6 OR eligible and willing to obtain 282 or 286 certification
