Therapists - join one of the most inventive and forward-looking FQHCs in the country. Penobscot Community Health Care is seeking a Psychotherapist to work in and support the vital Capeheart Mental Health Access Center (MHAC) in Bangor. Work alongside skilled, compassionate providers offering a wide array of mental health services, as well as substance use disorder treatment. Care for your own patient panel and partner with care teams across the organization providing and promoting timely access to care, continuity of care, and the enhancement of well-being for all regardless of life circumstance.

LCSW, LCPC, LMFT and Conditionally Licensed providers are encouraged to apply. Advanced degree in MH Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of Maine to provide mental health counseling. All externally hired LCSW/LCPC/LMFT's will receive a sign-on/retention bonus ranging from $10,000 to $15,000, depending on prior experience!

Highlights:

  • This position is planned for full-time 40 hours per week, generally Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Some in-person work is required. ask about remote/hybrid schedule options.
  • Schedule has some flexibility - willing to work with candidate on preferred schedule based on needs of the practice.
  • The MHAC Therapist practices and collaborates with peer PCHC therapists embedded in outpatient primary care practices across the organization for effective, efficient service delivery.
  • In addition to providing two psychiatric assessments per day, the MHAC Psychotherapist will serve as an empaneled provider, offering individual, couples and group counseling and mental health triage.
  • This is an opportunity to work with diverse populations across the lifespan.
  • The MHAC Therapist should be well versed and skilled in a variety of counseling modalities that include solution focused as well as long-term therapy work and be comfortable in a dynamic and growing professional environment.
