We are seeking a Director, Professional Practice and Clinical Education to join our Clinical Education Team!
The Director will take a leadership role in overseeing professional practice and clinical education programs, supporting the application of evidence-based practice, and defining innovative strategies to build a culture of clinical excellence and reliable care. The Director will be pivotal to promoting research and shared governance within the organization. The role requires the synthesis of expert knowledge in the areas of adult education and professional development principles, evidence-based practice, and clinical practice standards in the practice setting. This role collaborates with all departments within the organization to coordinate and support organizational interprofessional educational and development initiatives.
Education/Licensure/Certifications/Qualifications
Masters Science in Education, Nursing or related field required
DNP or PhD in Healthcare or Nursing-related field of study preferred
Current, active, and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse
Experience & Skills
Five (5) years previous teaching/training experience in an educational/health care institution required
Previous experience as a Director of Education or Nursing Practice preferred
Knowledge of learning theory, curriculum design, program evaluation, patient care consultation
Strong change management and influencing capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to promote shared decision-making and foster staff empowerment.
Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
Solid knowledge of computer use and software to include MS office and other software used for hospital operations
Supervisory
2-3 years supervisory or management experience preferred
