This is part time work in the Old Port area of Portland. We are seeking someone who has some knowledge of kayaking . It is work in a retail store selling high end sea kayaks of a high performance type; greenland style paddles and kayaking garments and gear. We also will be teaching paddling skills with a greenland kayak, including rolling. We'd like someone two consecutive days a week between WEd-Sun. Hours are 10ish to 4ish, closed Mon and Tuesday except by appointment. We'll teach you about the boats and the gear and do offer a modest employee discount. Starting wage is $18 per hour. After that we see. Idealy we'd like someone all year round however spring, summer , fall are most important. We are on a wharf across from the porthole restaurant and the atmosphere is very cool as is the gear. You need to be able to get along with the public; otherwise I've no gender or age etc. preference. We are ready to hire immediately.
