We are seeking an experienced Programmer/Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our behavioral healthcare data infrastructure. This role focuses on data warehousing, ETL development using SSIS, and report generation to support clinical, financial, and operational goals. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a passion for healthcare data, and a commitment to data privacy and HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage Sweetser’s data warehouse using SQL Server and Wherescape.

  • Build and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS to integrate data from EHR, billing, HR, and other systems.

  • Develop dashboards and reports using SSRS, Power BI, and Crystal Reports.

  • Administer SQL Server databases, monitor performance, and perform regular backups and tuning.

  • Collaborate with clinical, compliance, and leadership teams to support regulatory and operational reporting (e.g., HEDIS, NCQA).

  • Write and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and automation tasks.

  • Ensure all data handling complies with HIPAA, NIST800-53, and internal policies.

  • Participate in audits and assist in data risk assessments.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in database administration and ETL development using SSIS.

  • Proficient in T-SQL, and reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Crystal Reports.

  • Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings preferred.

  • Familiar with HIPAA, HEDIS, NCQA reporting, and behavioral health EHRs (e.g., Welligent, NextGen, Netsmart).

  • Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS) a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate

  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)

  • SQL Server DBA certification
