Bolster Heights is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team!

This is a full-time, 40-hours benefits eligible position.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

The Housekeeper cleans all areas of the facility to ensure a clean, attractive and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Executes other duties under the direction of the Director of Personal Care Services.

  • Regulatory Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Housekeeping Experience in a Healthcare Setting Preferred
  • Must have a genuine interest in working with geriatrics. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions. Must have ability to perform task with due consideration for resident in the area. Must have initiative and judgment involved in maintaining assigned area in clean and orderly condition. Works under close supervision, performing routine, standardized tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
1. Keep facility in a clean and sanitary condition in order to provide for the welfare and care of the residents in a healthful environment.
2. Dust furniture with damp cloth or polishing cloth daily: straightens furniture.
3. Dust light fixtures outside and inside, dust window sills and beds, cleans all door vents.
4. Empty waste baskets, replacing trash bags.
5. Dry mop floors in resident’s rooms, then wet mops rooms.
6. Clean wash basins, commodes, polish chrome fixtures in bathtub, wash all mirrors, and spot clean walls.
7. Clean window blinds. Clean beds thoroughly. Clean bedside tables in residents’ rooms. Dusts all Shelves, removing all articles making sure thorough cleaning is done.
8. Cleans housekeeping cart and other equipment used daily.
9. Assist with emergency cleaning during the day as required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
11. Practice economy in use of supplies and equipment.
12. Dispense supplies according to need.
13. Maintain safeguards for the care, storage and use of supplies and equipment.
14. See that resident rooms are prepared for new admissions.

15. Customer Service: Interacts with all individuals in a consistent manner, providing attention, support, and assistance to foster an environment of exceptional personal service.
16. Maintains a pleasant and helpful demeanor, and presents a professional appearance toward all internal and external customers at all times.
