Requirements
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified MA: Graduate of a CCMA, RMA, or CMA program with national certification.
- Non-Certified MA: CNA experience accepted. Must be enrolled in a certification program (RMA, CMA, or CCMA) within one year of hire if not already certified.
- BLS certification required (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
Experience:
- Customer service experience required.
- Medical office experience preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Emotional maturity and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support distressed or anxious patients and families.
- Team-oriented with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermittent weekend coverage required.
Cognitive & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to process and apply clinical information.
- Multitasking in a dynamic setting.
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend for up to 8 hours, lift 25–50 lbs, assist patients, and perform CPR.
Work Environment:
- Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
