JOB SUMMARY
The Education Coordinator oversees the placement of students into clinical education rotations, job shadows, senior partnerships, and other student-related activities. Proactively communicating with departments about student placement opportunities, partnering with schools/universities to ensure requirements are met, communicating with students about their placement, and organizing student orientation. Submits monthly reports for student placements.
The Education Coordinator also coordinates the New Hire Orientation (NHO). Ensures that there is adequate space for the NHO, sends out Welcome emails, creates the new hire orientation packets for new hires as well as obtains their IT Access Log-In sheet. This position demands a high degree of initiative, problem-solving capabilities, leadership characteristics, facilitation skills, ability to influence, comfort in managing multiple time-sensitive priorities, and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
Student Placement Coordination:
Coordinates all students for clinical rotations, internships, job shadows, senior partnerships, and other student-related activities independently or with minimal supervision.
Maintains files of schools affiliated with Affiliation Agreements obtained and updated in iContracts.
Maintains calendar of student placements (location, date, number)
Keep student records up to date (including immunization records and background checks)
Coordinate evaluations of clinical experience (if appropriate)
Maintains appropriate databases
Social Responsibility (Students)
Coordinates review of students with Nursing Leadership and EX Leadership (Operations and Talent) for recruitment.
New Hire Orientation Coordination
Schedule rooms and space for the NHO.
Maintain files and ensure records are updated.
Creates NHO Packets, including the IT Access Log-In sheet.
C. Administrative Support
Follows LMS protocols and procedures in line with established procedures and policies
Assists in the assignments to students/student groups needing content
Maintains record of training completion for all participating enrollees
Produces LMS system reports as needed.
Assists with curriculum assignments as needed for system upgrades.
Participate in work groups to assist with the understanding of the needs of student groups and students.
Job Requirements:
High School Dipolma
At least 5 years of administrative assistant experience, preferably in healthcare or higher education setting
