Woodfords Family Services is thrilled to collaborate with Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) in being a host for the Educator Apprentice Program! This innovative 18-month program is the first of its kind, tailored for individuals aspiring to become Education Technicians III. As an Apprentice, you'll have the unique opportunity to gain further educational credits and valuable experience by working in Woodfords' Early Childhood Preschool Special Purpose Private School!

This is a full-time, hourly position, employed by Woodfords Family Services and located at our scenic Pineland Farms campus in New Gloucester, ME!

Opportunity Details

The Educator Apprentice Program begins with a 1-week Teaching Bootcamp held August 18th-22nd, 8:00am-4:00pm. After this, 1 evening per week (3:30pm-6:30pm) of classroom learning in Gorham, ME will be required for the length of the 18-month program.

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week + Benefits!
  • $20.00 per hour - with opportunity for increase at completion of program
  • Monday through Friday, with 1 evening per week required for coursework
  • FREE to participants through SMCC!

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Resident of State of Maine
  • Proof of Authorization to work in U.S.
  • High School diploma, GED, or HiSet
