Responsibilities:
- Perform IT Audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards.
- Perform SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations and understand audit guidelines. Includes:
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of technology controls pertaining to client's internal controls.
- Understand information technology controls, concepts, and auditing.
- Identify control gaps within processes and communicate audit findings and control redesign recommendations.
- Discuss with clients the risks from their use of technology.
- Work with engagement teams to assess technical and general IT controls over applications, databases, network infrastructure, and business processes.
- Produce written reports and documentation in a timely manner which clearly, appropriately, and accurately communicate engagement results
- Assist on various IT-related tasks for client engaements.
- Participate in SOC Audits, SOX reviews and IT audits.
- Occasional travel to client sites.
- Maintain a hybrid schedule at closest Wipfli office.
Qualifications:
- Requires a business or technology related degree.
- 1-3 years of experience; Entry-level applicants encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of IT related audit activities.
- Industry experience in technology, manufacturing, financial institutions, and/or healthcare.
- Interest in obtaining relevant industry certifications within 3 years, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, or CITP.
- Working knowledge of frameworks including COSO, COBIT, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF and NIST SP 800-53 preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within set timeframes.
