The Portland International Jetport is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Finance Department. Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Finance & Administration, this position is responsible for a wide variety of highly detailed duties, including the review and audit of monthly airline statistics, monthly airline billing, weekly purchasing card data entry, and reporting and auditing of data such as annual reconciliations of concessionaires. All of these duties require independence, initiative, and good judgment to be successful. The Senior Administrative Officer II also compiles numerous weekly and monthly reports for departmental use as well as for the Jetports business partners. Cross training will include accounts payable, and payroll. May serve as a back-up to the PAO relating to personnel action forms, various new employee education, benefits, workers’ compensation, injury reporting and various leave of absences.
Requirements: Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent customer service skills, considerable understanding of database data management, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers and the general public, and strong analytical and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field with an equivalent combination of experience and training. The position also requires the ability for the incumbent to obtain a SIDA badge and pass the necessary background checks in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542, communicate effectively written and verbally, and possess and maintain a valid drivers license.

This is a non-union, Grade B-25, 37.5 hour work week position with a starting salary rate of $28.72/hour.
