Falmouth Public Schools is seeking a school nutrition worker in the cafeteria at Falmouth Middle School to serve students and staff nutritious and appealing meals in a sanitary and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, cooking and serving a variety of hot and cold items throughout the day;
- Operate computerized point of sale system;
- Assist with lunch service;
- Assist with daily clean up;
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the kitchen manager;
Qualifications:
- Good customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work quickly and independently and as a team member in a fast pace child oriented school environment
- Ability to plan ahead, multi task
- Baking experience desired; and baking in a commercial kitchen a plus
- Sanitation training or willing to attend training
- Good math and computer skills
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- High school diploma or GED

Additional:
The schedule for this position is approximately 5 hours/day (8:30 am - 1:30 pm), Monday - Friday, school-year only.
Compensation:
The starting hourly rate for this position is dependent on experience. Scale range and increase is currently in contract negotiations for next year (currently $16.93 - $21.00 per hour). Position includes 100% District-paid single health, dental insurance and other benefits (leave time, employer-match retirement). An approved district-run background check is required.
