Summary:
The Student Accounts Specialist position will be located at Northeastern’s Roux campus in Portland ME and under the direction of the Assistant Director of Student Accounts, the Student Accounts Specialist supports all operational aspects of Student Accounts, including third party billing, fee assessment, accounts receivable entries and batch processing, processing of external loan and payment plan cash, and processing of tuition adjustments, exemptions and forfeited deposits. He/she will also assist with email, phone and in-person customer service and processing student refund requests.
This position will collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid and Finance at the Roux to plan and execute fee assessment and other billing activities to ensure the student bills are aligned with the unique financial partnerships designed by the Roux and business partners. This includes working with the Associate Directors of Billing and Operations in Student Accounts to plan billing activities, design billing rules or exemptions.
The Student Accounts Specialist will assist with third party billing, including creating and distributing third party billing statements, customer service for corporations, embassies, agencies, students, parents, and Northeastern staff via email, telephone and in-person conversations, reconciliation, delinquency monitoring and collection of third-party accounts
Qualifications:

A minimum of 3+ years in Student Accounts or related experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Knowledge of Student A/R performance metrics
