The Marketing Ops & Systems Manager plays a critical role in advancing our marketing automation strategy, managing the MarTech stack, and ensuring the successful deployment of marketing campaigns including emails, nurture programs, and website personalization. This role collaborates closely with central marketing teams (Digital Marketing, Data & Analytics, and Web Development) as well as product marketing and editorial teams to optimize systems, processes, and campaign performance.

In addition to hands-on execution, this position provides leadership and oversight to two full-time Marketing Operations Coordinators and brings structure to project workflows using Workfront and other project management tools to keep marketing initiatives on track and aligned with business goals. This role reports to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Marketo system administrator: manage users, permissions, workspaces, and overall platform performance.
  • Oversee the development of email campaigns using Marketo Smart Campaigns and Smart Lists, ensuring timely execution and accurate segmentation.
  • Collaborate with central marketing and product marketing teams to optimize lifecycle marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.
  • Lead marketing operations initiatives from concept to implementation, driving collaboration across departments and delivering measurable results.
  • Supervise and mentor two full-time Marketing Operations Coordinators, providing support, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Deliver training and support to internal users of Marketo and related tools; provide onboarding and ongoing enablement for team members.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Data & Analytics team to gain insights into campaign performance and audience behavior and performance across channels and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, and campaign deployment.
  • Deep experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong project management skills; experience with Workfront or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • A collaborative team player with a creative mindset and a sense of curiosity, who enjoys solving problems, brainstorming ideas, and having fun while doing great work.
