PCHC’s Penobscot Community Health Center is looking to fill a new leadership position, Patient Service Representative (PSR) Team Lead. In this role, you’ll function as a PSR and assist the Supervisor in managing the daily administrative operations of the clinic. You’ll provide support in leading the PSR team, empowering them to achieve excellence and cultivating an environment that encourages patient-centered care, high performance and collegiality. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Highlights of the position:

  • Supports the Supervisor in leading the PSR team daily, providing a model of positive, compassionate, care and supreme customer service for our patients.
    • Assists in effectively managing and delegating responsibilities, promoting high-functioning administrative support staff. Champions efforts to seek continuous improvement of practice metrics and goals.
    • Assists in training the PSR team to improve performance and competencies continually. Engages in an ongoing conversation for quality monitoring and development.
  • Functions as a PSR on a daily basis and serves as a subject matter expert for the team.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for PSRs, providing support, resources, and guidance, escalating to the Supervisor when needed.
  • Assists the practice leadership team with the hiring of the most qualified, competent, and patient-centered administrative support staff by participating in the interview process.
  • Supports the leadership team in resolving patient complaints and concerns.
  • Collaborates with the practice leadership team on workflow changes, process improvement, and delivery of supreme patient care.

          Education and Experience:

          • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred.
          • Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
          • Previous experience in an outpatient healthcare office environment required (preferably from within PCHC).
          • Familiarity with medical office software required.
          • Strong computer skills required.
