Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Theater and Dance Teacher to join our vibrant Visual and Performing Arts department. The ideal candidate is dedicated to student growth and ready to inspire excellence in every learner.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging instruction aligned with approved curriculum and student needs.
- Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement diverse teaching strategies to support individual learning goals.
- Use data to set goals, measure progress, and provide timely feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance school-wide effectiveness.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
- Support and lead efforts in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across all levels.
- Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and effective communication.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid U.S. work authorization (citizenship, residency, or visa)
- Maine DOE certification (or ability to obtain)
