The Health Value Nurse Analyst (HVNA) will work with key clinical professionals across Northern Light Health, participate in, and partner with other Supply Chain (SC) staff on SC strategic integration efforts; help execute strategic plans around Northern Light Health SC initiatives; ensure Clinical Value Analysis compliance with Northern Light Health members , and help facilitate streamlined product/equipment review, trials and transition to new products/equipment across Northern Light Health. Supports strategic planning for overall supply chain operations and alignment with system-level strategic plan. Keeps up to date in current clinical and supply chain trends to educate value analysis teams and other stakeholders.
The HVNA will be responsible for standardization of Value Analysis process across Northern Light Health and ensuring there is effective communication between local members and the Value Analysis team. Research clinical evidence for requested products. Appropriate engagement of subject matter experts for new technologies for value assessment and appropriate clinical utilization. Oversight of new product trials. Ensuring incorporation of clinical data for evidence-based value assessment of new products. Direct communication with physicians as needed. Identifying opportunities for standardization of existing products.
The QHVNA nurse will also partner with clinical improvement teams to drive device/product utilization standardization within a service line. Aggregation of physician specific cost, quality, and outcomes data to engage physicians in efforts to reduce unnecessary variations in utilization. Education of stakeholders at all levels to reach consensus on need to reduce variations to drive toward improved patient outcomes. Negotiate contracts to optimize clinical value.
Active Maine RN license or eligibility to obtain required.
At least5 years in a nursing level position in a surgicalOR procedural area required.
Education and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of medical products, equipment and services.
Effective communication skills required including, but not limited to, utilization of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
