Full job description POSITION OVERVIEW: Special Ed Ed Tech III (Part TIme) - Casco Bay High, 25-26 SY
Casco Bay High School (CBHS) is seeking a progressive, collaborative Special Education Ed Tech III to work closely with Special Educators and support students both 1:1 and in small groups. The position may also include mainstream "push in" support in core content classes, art, health, and physical education.

We seek a team member with the skills and passion for the rigor, relevance and relationships that are at the core of Expeditionary Learning—and a hallmark of our school. The ideal candidate will have an affinity for diverse student bodies and an aptitude for differentiation. Our faculty have a strong voice in shaping CBHS, and new staff can expect to be richly involved in upholding our distinct mission and in advancing school culture.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to manage data management systems, analyze, and synthesize data
  • Ability to support teaching and learning
  • Ability to manage and oversee school-wide testing procedures
  • Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and others in an open, friendly, professional manner

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education; in the alternative, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
  • School-year position
  • Permanent
  • Part Time, 0.5 FTE
  • Hourly position, eligible for overtime
  • Covered under the Ed Tech contract (see 2024-2027 CBA here)
  • Wages based on level of certification and years of experience, as outlined in CBA
  • Eligible for benefits as outlined here (may not be updated with 25-26 plan information or $ amounts)

Casco Bay High School is a small and rigorous public high school that reflects the increasing diversity of Portland, Maine. Founded in 2005, CBHS is a school of choice for about 400 students. For three of our first graduating classes, 100% of the graduates were accepted to college.
