You can play a pivotal part in showcasing stunning visual narratives while navigating the complexities of artistic presentation. 

Active in both the primary and secondary market with a strong presence in photography.  This position will be working very closely with the director but will take the lead role with overseeing gallery assistant by leading and supervising, managing workload while maintaining gallery standards and presentation of the gallery. 

The gallery also shows, paintings, sculptures and Jewelry 

 Duties

1. Ensure smooth running of the gallery.
2. Responsible for maintaining and improving commercial success of an art gallery.
3. Liaise with visiting artist and negotiate sales
4. Organizing, promoting, and supervise exhibits. 
5. Developing and maintaining relationships with artists and clientele
6. Develop and extend client list/database
7. Implementing marketing strategies working closely with director 
8. Keep up to date with industry developments and market trends.
9. Working with community calendar talks, music, wine, reading etc.

Knowledge Requirements

An art gallery manager should be able to

1. Good knowledge of photography
2. Ambitious, dependable 
3. Comfortable with sales 
4. Prepare gallery spaces for installations
5. Photoshop ideally know of printing photographs on Espon printers 
6. Mac and Word, knowledge in computer applications
7. ArtCloud database (will teach)
