The Graduate Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing the full application and admissions process for one or more graduate programs within the Office of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment. This includes engaging with prospective and current applicants, reviewing applications, coordinating and tracking interviews, supporting the admissions committee, monitoring admissions decisions, and overseeing post-admission activities such as deposits and matriculation. The coordinator ensures applicants move efficiently through each stage of the admissions cycle while providing clear, responsive communication and a high level of service.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the application and admissions process for assigned graduate programs, ensuring proactive communication with applicants and efficient progression through each stage.
- Configure, maintain, and manage the Centralized Application System (CAS) for assigned programs, aligning workflows with program-specific scoring rubrics and application procedures.
- Plan, schedule, and track applicant interviews, supporting the admissions committee throughout the evaluation process.
- Oversee decision letter generation and tracking, as well as post-admission steps such as deposit collection and matriculation monitoring.
- Facilitate application review with admissions committees, monitoring their activity to ensure timely and thorough evaluations.
- Train faculty and external interviewers on application and interview platforms, promoting best practices for holistic candidate review.
- Perform advanced data entry, retrieval, and reporting using student record systems and university-approved software.
- Analyze and present admissions data to internal stakeholders, including program staff, faculty, and university leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with program leadership, admissions committees, faculty, and staff to support admissions goals and enrollment strategies.
- Stay informed about university programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional standards.
- Monitor regional and national trends and best practices in Graduate Enrollment Management to enhance admissions operations.
- Participate actively in recruitment and enrollment events such as open houses, campus visits, and virtual sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or one or more years of related experience is preferred; a combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge and skills will also be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with prospective students, college counselors, faculty, alumni, and internal university stakeholders.
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, advising, and interviewing skills.
- Understanding of institutional goals and the mission of graduate and professional education.
- Proficiency in typing, data entry, and experience with student information systems and technology platforms is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing file reviews, interview coordination, and applicant follow-up.
- Experience with Slate CRM and Centralized Application Services (CAS) platforms is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed; must possess a valid driver’s license.
