General Summary:

To act as the Subject Matter Expert and trusted adviser to the business for Unum US Salesforce platform. To manage and develop the platform as a key enabler in delivering our corporate growth strategy through our customer relationship management capabilities.

  • Contribute to the Salesforce product roadmap in support of our business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage Salesforce licenses
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration as the Salesforce platform is developed
  • Handles all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks.
  • The liaison between business administrators and Global Services on Salesforce, assisting with system maintenance (i.e. support any updates) and coordinating with Global Services technical support when needed.
  • Perform production support duties.
  • Relationship management with Salesforce.com and partners (e.g. WalkMe, Unum US and Ireland CRM technical teams).
  • Help drive end-user adoption of Salesforce platform through support, engagement and initiatives. Responsible for providing training content and consulting with the Training Dept to deliver curriculum to end users.
  • Collaborate regularly with user groups to gain and provide insights and recommendations to drive adoption, performance and refinements of the Salesforce strategy.
  • Connect globally across Unum affiliates on Salesforce developments, networking and sharing best practice. Contribute by researching usage and application of CRM systems outside of Unum to leverage best practices.
  • Stay abreast of new functionality released by the vendor, identify and socialize opportunities for expanded usage and potential impacts to Unum’s application. Coordinate implementation of new Salesforce vendor releases.
  • Ensure application solution design conforms to agreed-upon quality attributes such as performance, fault tolerance, etc.

Job Specifications

  • Experience in financial services sector desirable, preferred
  • Proven strong technical and functional experience with Salesforce platform
  • Salesforce administration and configuration experience
  • Relevant degree/professional qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Solid understanding of market Salesforce practices and development
  • Highly skilled in analyzing business needs and capturing requirements
  • Market analysis and report writing skills
  • Ability to evaluate information and question appropriately
  • Ability to operate effectively and professionally with senior staff
  • Demonstrated relationship building and communications skills essential
  • Salesforce Administrator Certified
