About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Prescription Assistance Program (PAP) Care Coordinator to join our team at 118 Moosehead Trail, Suite 5, Newport, ME 04953. As a PAP Care Coordinator, you will assist patients in obtaining prescription medications through various assistance programs. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure patients receive the needed medications. Your role will be critical in helping patients manage their health conditions and improve their quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare or social services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with prescription assistance programs
  • Knowledge of insurance and pharmaceutical industries
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in obtaining prescription medications through various assistance programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure patients receive the medications they need
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and medication assistance programs
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their medications and health conditions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and program efficiency

As a PAP Care Coordinator, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies. You will need to be highly organized and detail-oriented to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be critical in ensuring patients receive the medications they need. Additionally, your knowledge of prescription assistance programs, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries will be beneficial in providing education and support to patients regarding their medications and health conditions.
