Benefits: Incredibly flexible Health Insurance plans Education Reimbursement Paid time off Opportunities for internal promotions What You’ll Do Provide physician leadership as a Hospice Medical Director (MD/DO) across assigned regions, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered hospice and palliative care Certify and recertify hospice eligibility in compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and accreditation standards Partner with the Hospice Medical Director to ensure consistent clinical standards, physician coverage, and regulatory compliance Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDG) to guide care planning, symptom management, and end-of-life care decisions Deliver direct patient care and consultations across settings (home, hospital, long-term care, inpatient hospice) Supervise and mentor hospice physicians and nurse practitioners (NPs) to drive clinical excellence Lead quality and compliance efforts, including QAPI initiatives and survey readiness Serve as a clinical resource to providers, staff, and community partners to support hospice utilization and education What You’ll Bring MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board certified or board eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics Active, unrestricted physician license (multi-state licensure a plus) 2+ years of experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life care Prior experience as a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, or physician leader preferred Strong knowledge of CMS hospice regulations, CoPs, and accreditation standards (ACHC or Joint Commission) Experience with quality improvement (QAPI), compliance, and survey readiness Proven ability to lead across multiple sites and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills with patients, families, clinicians, and healthcare partners Commitment to compassionate, high-quality hospice and palliative care Become part of a collaborative, patient-centered team that values compassion, excellence, and innovation.
