Summary:

Responsible for total nursing care of assigned patients in the medical/surgical area. Patients range in age from pediatrics through geriatrics. Responsible for providing care to patients with medical, surgical, and minor psychiatric problems. Renders safe patient care while maintaining a clean and safe patient environment. Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality care to patients in a holistic manner. Provides care to the Swing Bed Program patients in compliance with Critical Access Hospital Standards for provision of care.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Provide total nursing care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatrics.

· Care for patients with medical, surgical, and minor psychiatric issues.

· Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.

· Utilize the nursing process to deliver holistic, quality care.

· Support Swing Bed Program patients in compliance with Critical Access Hospital Standards.

Requirements:

· Current Maine RN license

· Current BLS certification

· Possession of a current ACLS certification or obtain it within 120 days of hire date.

· Recent experience in medication administration and nursing care assessment

· Proficient IV skills and basic computer skills

· Emotional maturity and excellent people skills

· Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. and work an 8–12-hour shift.
