Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Hybrid (3 days in Freeport, ME / 2 days remote)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Compensation: (Depends on experience)

About the Role:
Our client, an outdoor recreation company, is seeking an Senior Project Manager with a focus on Marketing and Data Analytics. In this role, you’ll lead high-impact IT projects that span departments, driving results through strategic planning, technical insight, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Oversee large, multi-team projects with clear goals, timelines, and budget oversight.

  • Drive Communication & Alignment: Act as the go-to liaison, ensuring stakeholders and leadership stay informed on progress and key updates.

  • Establish Governance & Oversight: Define and manage sponsor, stakeholder, and cross-functional support roles for effective project governance.

  • Vendor & Risk Management: Build strong vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage project risks to keep projects on track.

  • Manage Resources & Schedules: Create project schedules, resource plans, and staffing strategies to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Budget Oversight: Develop and track project budgets, maintaining clear visibility into actuals and forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience focusing on IT and Agile methodologies.

  • Proven experience leading large, distributed teams and managing multiple workstreams concurrently.

  • Proficiency with Agile PM tools such as Jira and Scrum boards for work tracking and reporting.

  • Experience managing vendor contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executives, lead cross-functional teams, and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms supporting Marketing, Customer Analytics, and Personalization.

  • Familiarity with WorkOtter, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of business process transformation and change management best practices.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite Candidates: Company-provided laptop and hardware (must remain within the state of Maine).

  • Remote Candidates: Must have a high-speed internet connection, personal Windows laptop/desktop (to access a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), a video camera, headset, and an additional monitor for efficient task management.
