Cybersecurity Analyst
Remote

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to lead vulnerability management and cyber threat identification, evaluation, and remediation efforts. You will be a key player in maintaining the security of enterprise systems and networks by continuously evaluating protections and escalating security events. As part of the Vulnerability Management team, you’ll work with business users and other IT teams to integrate cybersecurity measures into business operations and ensure systems are secure and compliant with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise cybersecurity tools and infrastructure.
  • Review networks and software designs to assess security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize best practices and industry standards (OWASP Top 10, NIST, CISA, SANS) to manage the Vulnerability Management Program.
  • Analyze vulnerability scan results, develop reports, and provide insights for business decisions and automation.
  • Support ticket queue management, assigning responsibilities to team members.
  • Partner with business teams to integrate cybersecurity protections into ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external organizations to improve security architecture and engineering.
  • Lead vulnerability management efforts including detection, triage, and reporting processes.
  • Drive improvements to the vulnerability scanning process and ensure consistent global coordination.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inquiries, capability gaps, and enhancement requests in the product.
  • Work with key stakeholders to establish and maintain vulnerability and patch management practices that strengthen security.
  • Assist the Security Operations Center in maturing and developing the vulnerability program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of information security experience, with expertise in risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and security testing.
  • Proficiency in Windows or Linux systems, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with vulnerability tools such as Tenable Nessus, Rapid7 InsightVM, Qualys, Burp Suite, ZAP, or similar.
  • Knowledge of application scanning and device vulnerability management procedures, including compliance with OWASP Top 10 standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive cybersecurity measures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, along with relevant security certifications (GIAC, ISC2, CompTIA, EC-Council).
