L.L.Bean is looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. This role is a hybrid schedule, based at the corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine.
Position Purpose: To ensure that maximum profitability and productivity is attained by providing meaningful financial information, reporting and analysis to senior leadership. Provide strategic level guidance and problem resolution on high level, complex financial issues. Ensure that Finance's point-of-view is considered when assessing corporate level strategies, initiatives, projects and decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex financial analyses, develop recommendations and present to management.
- Ensure consistent practices and delivery of high quality, timely analysis, projections and monitoring of the company's financial position.
- Support quarterly Board meetings, through development of Executive presentation materials & stewardship of Board preparation process.
- Support strategic planning processes & analysis.
- Assist management in the evaluation of business operations, opportunities and options.
- Provide strategic level financial direction for corporate projects, initiatives and decision making.
- Leverage best practices from the industry in analysis and decision making.
- Ensure consistent budget implementation and corporate financial perspective. Provide direction and resolution of high level budget issues as needed.
- May lead and manage assigned employee(s). Provide guidance and feedback to assigned employees and the leadership necessary to translate the Planning and Analysis department's vision into day-to-day practices and management expectations.
- Provide project leadership to financial and operational projects as assigned.

Education Level: 4-Year Bachelors Degree
Years of Experience: 6+ years
Skills and Qualifications:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience and demonstrated proficiency with financial analysis, techniques and tools.
- Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- Strategic, innovative thinker

- Strong communication skills, oral and written, with ability to negotiate and influence
