Job Description

Benefits eligible, school-year position.
Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist to provide evaluation services, direct intervention, and consultation services for students in grades 4-8.
Understanding of Maine Special Education Law regarding Speech/Language Services is required.
Experience in the completion of Speech Language Impairment Eligibility form.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Provision of case management services to students identified under Speech/Language Impairment
* Writing IEPs given student needs based on evaluation data
* Providing direct services to students
* Providing consultation services for students to IEP team members, including special education and regular education teachers
* Participation on District-Wide Speech PLC team
* Participation on building-based PLC teams, including grade-level teams, special education teams, RtI teams as needed
* Direct consultation with outside Speech Therapy agencies
* Support of Students using AAC devices
* Billing MaineCare for speech sessions as required

Job Requirements

  • Must hold: a Maine state license for Speech Pathologist, be a licensed member of ASHA, and hold an approved Maine CHRC at time of hire OR be in the process of obtaining required certifications.
  • Master degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
