For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
This position will be shared between Stockton Springs & Arthur Jewell Community Health Center (split schedule) and will support hospital/practice initiatives with the overall Population Health Team. The physical location will be split between those two locations. The Care Coordinator’s role on the Population Health Team is to identify and support Practice and Hospital initiatives that reinforce our mission of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.
The MA Care Coordinator is integral in supporting Population Health activities. Population Health strives to enhance the patient experience, improve quality, reduce costs for a patients’ care and improve care transitions. The Care Coordinator is responsible for supporting primary care objectives through targeted outreach to our patients, data mining, surveillance of health maintenance areas, coordination of care with Care Managers, monitoring and triaging referral work queues and proactively creating relationships with providers and patients to ensure optimum health and wellness for our patient population. The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative and can work independently, is outgoing and friendly, and builds relationships with ease. A quick-learner with the ability to be flexible will excel in this role.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. High School Graduate/equivalency. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Experience with medical terminology and working in a medical office required.
2. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload and maintain a flexible problem-solving approach.
3. Strong telephone and public communications skills.
4. Must complete all duties with minimum supervision.
5. Knowledgeable in use of general office equipment including computer and typing skits.
6. Flexible and friendly attitude.
7. CPR certification preferred, but not required - will train.
