The RN hired for this per diem position will be part of a small, collaborative team that supports a community hospital by building relationships with new and frequents patients. Duties include administering medications to patients via infusion or injection and being responsible for port management.

The candidate we are seeking has strong IV administration skills, and is comfortable accessing and caring for central lines and ports. RN experience in the outpatient setting and/or the ED, oncology or surgical services is a plus!

This Monday-Friday practice is open from 7:30 am-5 pm. We are looking for a commitment to work 8-hour shifts during these hours. 

Summary:
The Registered Nurse role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BLS certification is not required for positions that are 100% remote.
  3. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.
