Neurology is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the clinical team that supports our adult patients with movement disorders. This is a unique opportunity to join a small group of specialized clinical staff and providers to care for this complex patient population. Our multidisciplinary team at Neurology includes physicians, NPs, MAs, social work, pharmacy, neuropsychology, and a behavioral health clinician. Day-to-day duties include triaging patient calls and messages, assisting providers with patient procedures such as interrogating deep brain stimulators, obtaining prescription authorizations, coordinating monthly Parkinson's Disease multi-disciplinary clinics, and assisting at patient educational forums and conferences.
This position offers a Monday - Friday, day-time schedule with no required weekends, major holidays, or on call. Flexible schedule options include four ten-hour shifts and the opportunity for hybrid remote work after one year. Our ideal candidate has been in an inpatient or outpatient RN role for a minimum of two years.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.
