Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team!

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to support course planning, instructional delivery, budget, and classroom management for the MA program.
  • Teach required classroom, lab, and clinical hours in accordance with certification standards and programmatic requirements.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of program participants.
  • Develop and distribute syllabi, lesson plans, and learning objectives for each course.
  • Maintain current knowledge of national standards for MA certification and ensure curriculum compliance.
  • Coordinate clinical schedules and supervise clinical education to ensure alignment with required competencies.
  • Recommend curriculum improvements and modifications based on student outcomes, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain program and instructor certifications and professional development in accordance with state and national standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or clinical healthcare setting.
  • Prior teaching or clinical educator experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), phlebotomy, EKG, and administrative procedures required.
  • CPR certification required (AHA BLS); ACLS/PALS preferred.
