Health Affiliates Maine has an opening for a Referral Coordinator to join their team.  This is a full-time, 40 hr/wk, role.

Referral Coorinator Responsibilites:

  • Accept and process client referrals over the phone and electronically.
  • Respond to all clients and referral sources within 24 hours.
  • Provide follow-up to clients on the referral waiting list.
  • Be familiar with the AMHI Consent Decree requirements for referral placement and follow the agency policies in regard to timeliness.
  • Maintain required documentation of referrals, referral sources, and referral processes.
  • Obtain and retain curent information on outpatient and case management provider's referral needs and aresas of expertise.
  • Attend departmental and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as deemed appropriate by the Management Team.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Experience working with people who have mental illness and substance use disorders. - Required
  • MHRT-c or Formal training as a DSP - Preferred
