MRH has and immediate openings for a Full Time STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in Sterile Processing or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Proven reliable work experience and attendance.
- Must be eager to learn, have a good attitude and passion for safe surgery.
- Strong attention to detail; vigilance and meticulous care of instruments and equipment.
- Have good judgement and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work will as part of a team and independently.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Maintains a well-organized workplace; uses time and materials wisely.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate must demonstrate competence in the entire scope of sterile processing which includes: collection, inspection, decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling, sterilization, distribution and monitoring of instruments and equipment, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process to promote sate surgery.
- Maintain records of sterilization procedures according to product IFU (Instructions for Use).Inspect, test, and maintain an inventory of all instruments; report instrument damage/malfunction and facilitate repairs.
- Monitor and safety operate all sterilization equipment.
- Document required sterility quality assurance testing,
- Report any compromised in sterility to the OR manager.
- Communicate and collaborate with medical representatives regarding incoming and outgoing instruments and equipment.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Full Time, 36 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Varying days and hours depending on need
