Maine Veterans' Homes South Paris is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to join their award winning team!

The Licensed Social Worker is responsible for assisting with the admissions process and care planning. The LSW performs work of a professional nature and is responsible for executing the functions of the Social Services Department in order to assure the emotional and social well-being of the residents and their families in accordance with Maine Veterans' Homes policies and governmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and a current State of Maine Social Work license.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with long-term care required.
  • Knowledge of VA, MCR & MaineCare guidelines required.
  • Extensive experience with case management, admissions, care planning and discharge planning process is essential.
  • Requires proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
  • Basic computer skills
