- Assess current state of department with relation to existing InterMed goals and plans.

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines. Maintain confidentiality related to financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic, or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and/or employees. Accesses and uses the minimum necessary patient identifiable information to perform job responsibilities and duties and only for authorized purposes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of medical staff credentialing experience preferred.
- 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience and subject matter expertise of CredentialStream platform for provider lifecycle management and data verification.
- Experience managing a team, organizing workflow, ensuring that employees understand their duties/delegated tasks, providing coaching and constructive feedback.
- License/Certifications:
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Knowledge of medical staff affairs operational process.
- Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Working knowledge of clinical and/or hospital operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of clinical privilege criteria development.
- Knowledge of medical staff policies, regulations, and bylaws and the legal environment within which they operate.
- Knowledge of performance improvement techniques.
- Information research skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw inferences from research findings, and prepare reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
