The Aquaculture Pioneers program is launching its third year to support the growth of Maine’s aquaculture industry and continue to cultivate talent in this important sector. This year Educate Maine is thrilled to partner with 14 aquaculture host employers in the downeast, mid-coast, and southern regions. Farm/hatchery Pioneers hired through this initiative will be enrolled in the Maine Career Catalyst program and will become a part of a cohort focused on building skills and their network in Maine’s aquaculture sector.
Learners interested in gaining hands-on experience and building a career in aquaculture through a paid, full-time summer work experience (internship and/or apprenticeship credit available) should visit the Maine Career Catalyst-Aquaculture Pioneers website to learn more about the program, view available position descriptions, and apply for up to five positions at once through our common application. Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. We encourage anyone who is interested to apply. We are accepting applications from high school students, recent graduates, college students, and people with no academic affiliation.
