Harpswell Corner Market is hiring someone to help in the kitchen. This person will be a key part of the team for Harpswell Corner Market in our second season.
Ideally this person has 2-5 years professional baking and / or kitchen experience, though someone with more looking for a seasonal role may also find this position interesting. We are ideally looking for someone to work full-time hours from mid-May through early September. Competitive hourly pay, great co-workers, and the chance to continue to grow Harpswell Corner Market – using your experience and knowledge and not just baking from others’ recipes – is the upside here.
This person will help us design and produce breakfast items (pastries, granola, breakfast sandwiches) as well as lunch items (sandwiches, soups, salads, cookies and pizza) and eventually take-away meals. We work with local ingredients where possible and always with fresh and quality ingredients.
Who We Are Looking For:
Ideal candidates will be a blend of collaborative and self-starter, with attention to quality and flavor as guiding principles. We are looking for someone with the experience to be independent, but the desire to work hard with others to the common goal of great bakery products. Warm perfectionism may be the best term for the person we seek.
