About team / role

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the WEX FP&A team, you will report directly to the Sr. Manager FP&A and serve as a key strategic partner to the SVP of Growth Mobility & EV, delivering deep financial insights and proactive guidance that directly influence the direction of two of the most dynamic areas of our business.

How you'll make an impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by delivering thoughtful, data-driven insights and identifying key business trends and risks.
  • Independently manage financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Growth Mobility and EV functions, with the ability to adapt and pivot priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently, with key stakeholders as necessary and navigate through a suite of finance applications to deliver quality and timely analysis and insights in a simple but effective way.
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of P&L performance, budget-to-actual variances, and forecast modeling, providing compelling narratives that support decision-making.
  • Influence and support strategic business decisions by presenting complex financial analysis in a clear and concise manner to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Own key performance indicators and monthly reporting, ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to drive performance.
  • Identify and champion opportunities to streamline reporting, automate manual processes, and enhance insights in collaboration with data teams and tech partners.
  • Apply advanced financial techniques, creative thinking, and business acumen to solve complex problems where no standard solution exists.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Education: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred. 
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in high-growth or technology-focused environments
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex models and forecast scenarios with precision and agility
  • Advanced Financial Analysis skills including SaaS metrics and performance indicators
  • Demonstrated experience working across functional areas and levels of leadership, with a track record of influencing decisions through data.
  • Ability to quickly navigate and learn internal finance systems. Expertise with financial and automation tools such as Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau highly preferred
  • Proactive and able to work independently yet can also work in a team environment
  • Highly organized, deadline and results-driven, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and influence stakeholders across the organization
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
