Full job description Sanford Middle School is seeking a student-centered educator to teach Grade 8 Math. The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement a middle-level math curriculum that supports the learning needs of all students.
We are looking for a teacher who can deliver differentiated instruction in an engaging and compassionate manner, while fostering a classroom environment built on mutual respect and trust. The successful candidate should lead by example, serve as a positive role model, and demonstrate strong relationship-building skills with both students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective and differentiated math instruction
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Utilize restorative classroom management strategies
  • Design and implement engaging learning experiences
  • Collaborate with team members to support student success
Qualifications:
  • Valid middle-level teaching certification (020 – General Elementary or 300 – Mathematics 7–12)
  • Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) certification
  • Experience working with middle-level students preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
