The Claim Operations Intern will create a Claim department knowledge repository in SharePoint to centralize all Claim handling resources including training materials, documentation, workflow, cheat sheets and links.

  • Gathers materials, documents and commonly used links and organizes in SharePoint folder. Versions/tags documents as they are added. Creates templates identified through the project.
  • Creates a maintenance and governance plan for ongoing oversight and updating of documents and sites.
  • Works with internal and external partners to update documentation to bring it current.
  • Identifies gaps in knowledge and creates documents and workflows.
  • Creates process to notify users when documents are updated or added.
  • Assists with Claim department roll out and training of SharePoint site.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an associate degree or above
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills – the ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Must have strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Strong attention to detail.
